Carp lake Zabar

On the lake, there are 16 well-maintained fishing spots, each featuring a simple chalet with 2 or 3 beds, a picnic table, Wi-Fi, and an electrical outlet. Each spot allows for four rods to be used, whether you’re fishing alone or with a partner. Personally, I’d recommend two anglers to rent two spots, as a single spot can feel a bit cramped with each angler using two rods. By renting two spots, you can decide if each angler wants their own chalet or if you want to fish together from one shared spot. Chalets 10, 16, 17, 19, and 20 have three beds each.

Near the large lake, there is also a smaller lake with bungalows 8 and 9. This is the nursery pond for the larger lake, home to around 100 fish that are regularly fed. The entire property is fenced, ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Upon arrival, you’ll find a large building housing the reception, a summer terrace with a kitchen, and one of the two sanitary facilities with showers and toilets. The second sanitary building with showers and toilets is located behind spot 10. Additionally, there are a few basic dry toilets scattered around. All fishing spots are accessible by car.

The Fish Stock
The fish stock at Lake Zabar is exceptional. The lake is home to 1,500 microchipped carp, in addition to the existing fish that have not been tagged. The weights range from 10 kg to over 40 kg (based on stocked fish and average growth), with carp up to 38 kg already caught. Based on catch records, the lake has at least 300 fish over 20 kg and about 30 carp over 30 kg!

The fish are regularly fed during non-fishing periods, with an average annual growth of around 3 kg. According to data, the carp population exceeds 20 tons, with grass carp accounting for 3 to 4 tons in various weight classes.
