Etang du Grand Christoph

The past year, Phillip has carefully constructed a beautiful two-person bungalow, complete with an inviting covered terrace, which will be ready in 2024. In the evenings, you can relax here and enjoy the stunning views over the lake. The bungalow features a modern designer kitchen equipped with a fridge and gas stove, a lovely bathroom with a shower, a comfortable double bed, and a dining table for four. The toilet is located in a separate building next to the bungalow, ensuring that anglers at other fishing spots do not need access to the bungalow.

Etang du Grand Christoph is exclusively rented out, allowing you to choose whether to stay with one, two, three, or four anglers. The power supply is provided by solar panels and a battery system, so don’t forget to charge the batteries during the day for an optimal stay.

Arrival and Departure Times
Arrival and departure are scheduled at 10:00 AM. Please adhere to these times to ensure a smooth check-in and check-out. If you are delayed, you can contact us or the owner.

The Lake
Etang du Grand Christoph is Phillip’s new, larger lake, and we have enjoyed a successful partnership with him for years. The lake is shaped like a pie slice, with the bungalow and two double fishing spots located on the broader end, allowing four anglers to cover the entire lake. The lake spans 9.9 acres and features a substrate primarily of gravel and sand, interspersed with softer patches. The average depth is about 4 meters, with several plateaus and a deepest point of 6 meters. The far point on the opposite side has a maximum depth of 2 meters, making it an excellent spot for float fishing beneath overhanging trees.

Fish Stock
In recent years, Phillip has stocked various generations of carp to complement the existing fish population. The lake has remained largely untouched, aside from a few test sessions by friends and acquaintances. As a result, the fish stock is still relatively unknown. However, there have already been some impressive catches, including carp weighing up to 28 kg and two large sturgeons. Since the lake has seen little fishing activity, every bite is a surprise, adding to the excitement of each session.
