Le Val Doré – Carp & Catfish Lake 1

Lake 1 at Le Val Doré is a 6-hectare carp and catfish lake in Northern France, perfect for anglers who value peace, space, and a healthy fish stock. This water holds an estimated 6,000 kg of carp, which amounts to approximately 1,000 kg of fish per hectare. This makes the lake one of the more prolific waters in the region, offering great opportunities during both short and long fishing sessions.

The carp in Lake 1 have an average weight of around 14 kg, with specimens approaching the 30 kg mark. In addition to carp, there are also large catfish and sturgeon, providing extra variety while fishing.

The lake was created from gravel extraction and therefore has a gradually sloping and relatively clean bottom. There are hardly any obstacles, making fishing straightforward and accessible. The average water depth is between 3 and 4 meters. This lake features swims 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8. Accommodations are available at various locations along the water for anglers who want to combine their stay with extra comfort.

Fish Stock

The fish stock in Lake 1 is not only extensive but also varied in composition. In total, there are an estimated 700 carp in this water, supplemented by various other fish species.

Besides carp, there are large catfish and sturgeon with weights up to 47 kilograms. Grass carp, rudd, and perch are also part of the stock, making this lake attractive to anglers interested in species other than carp.

You can come here for:

• Various types of pellets (including the type used for winter feeding of the carp)
