Le Val Doré – Carp & Catfish Lake 2

Lake 2 is approximately 5 hectares in size and is characterized by an open water surface with a centrally located island that divides the lake into several zones. This creates natural migration routes and gathering spots where both carp and catfish regularly stay.

The bottom largely consists of hard plateaus with local light silt zones and an average depth between 3 and 4 meters. In particular, the margins around the island and the transitions from hard to soft ground form interesting angling zones where you can fish strategically.

At swim 12, there is a wooden chalet of 12 m², located close to the sanitary facilities. The combination of an easily accessible swim layout, clear bottom structures, and a strong fish stock makes Lake 2 suitable for both short sessions and longer angling holidays in Northern France.

Fish Stock

The fish stock of Lake 2 is extensive and varied, consisting of both carp and catfish. In total, an estimated 700 carp swim in these waters, supplemented by a large number of catfish and other fish species.

In addition to carp, Lake 2 also contains catfish with impressive weights and lengths. Grass carp are also present and contribute to keeping the water quality in balance.

About 400 carp are just under 20 kg, there are 40 carp over 20 kg, and there are about 100 catfish in Le Val Doré Lake 2.

Catering & food

On-site, there is a cozy bar, restaurant, and brasserie open daily.
You can come here for:

• French or international breakfast
• Lunch and dinner (on-site or takeaway)

Additionally, there is a small grocery store with basic products.
Fresh bread and pastries are available when ordered a day in advance.

On-site tackle shop

There is a tackle shop on-site with high-quality fishing gear and bait.

You will find, among other things:

• Boilies from top brands such as Mainline and Dynamite Baits
• Fishing equipment from brands like Fox, Prowess, Carp Spirit, and Starbaits
• Various types of pellets (including the type used for winter feeding of the carp)
• Ready-to-use and dry particles such as corn, hemp, and tiger nuts

Lakeside chalets

Comfortable and well-equipped chalets are spread across the grounds close to the shore.
