Many people know the Vinkeveense Plassen, and also know that in terms of fishing it’s an incredible challenge to catch beautiful large fish here. But when you do get them on your spot, the dark fish shine beautifully through the clear water. Everything swims in the Vinkeveense Plassen: roach, bream, tench, carp, pike and pike-perch.
When you sail across the water here, the surroundings remain amazingly beautiful. If you love water and enjoy casting a line, then Vinkeveen is an ideal place to spend time with friends or your family.

About the accommodation
On an island in the middle of the Vinkeveense Plassen (20 km from Amsterdam and Utrecht, 12 km from Schiphol), this comfortable chalet is located. The chalet is equipped with a toilet, shower, a small kitchen with 2 hobs, a refrigerator, electricity, a fire pit, a BBQ, and 200 m² of free space.
Inside there is a double sofa bed and a cozy seating area. Outside you will find a spacious terrace with views over the water on all sides. You can optionally pitch your own tent on land, and there is plenty of space for your own boat.
The island is ideal for those seeking peace and nature lovers. You can dive directly into the Vinkeveense Plassen from the island; the water is known for its clarity and excellent swimming quality. Angling is, of course, also possible.

The fish stock
The Vinkeveense Plassen are a beautiful but challenging angling environment. The water is crystal clear and 10 to 15 meters deep. Among others, there are pike, zander, bream, tench, roach, and carp.
Predatory fish feel perfectly at home in the clear water and hunt actively. Carp angling can be more challenging; we recommend using backleads due to busy recreational boating. Furthermore, do not use too many particles to prevent large schools of bream from taking over the feeding spot. Also take into account present crayfish.

Includes the use of an open motorboat with a 6HP engine. A boating license is not required for this. A private spot is available on shore to store the boat when you are on the go. You can, of course, use the boat to explore the Vinkeveense Plassen or to visit one of the many waterfront restaurants.

Because a lot of peat was extracted here in the past, various peninsulas and small islands were formed. Crystal clear water with overhanging trees, featuring deep and shallow sections.

The owner of the Cabin trusts that you will leave everything tidy and that if something is broken, it will be reported so it can be replaced. No deposit is charged.
It meets all luxury standards for up to 4 people. Unfortunately, there is no WiFi available. The water used for the shower and toilet comes from the Vinkeveense Plassen itself. You can get drinking water at Omtzigt marina.

The chalet in Vinkeveen is for a maximum of 4 people and can be reserved for a weekend, midweek, or week.

1. Rules
You need to report to the meeting point at the agreed times.
If you are delayed, please contact the owner.
You can purchase the Amsterdam and Weesp Angling Association fishing permit for the third rod and night permit at the local fishing tackle shop. You can also get the permits at Hotel Borgers.
The bridges are closed on:
13:00 - 13:30 hours
16:30 - 17:30 hours
For the Vinkeveense Plassen, we advise against using small bait when fishing for carp. This helps keep schools of bream away from your feeding spot. It's also advisable to fish with tiger nuts and bring shrink tubing to put around your hook bait to protect against crayfish.
2. General rules
On all waters brokered by Angling Escapes, you are required to bring First Aid and treat the fish with it.
Neither the manager nor Angling Escapes is liable for loss and/or theft of goods or accidents and/or personal injury. Both the manager/owners of the water and Angling Escapes cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.
Important, ensure that you have taken out travel and cancellation insurance.
If the above rules are not respected, the owner may at any time force you to leave the premises without any refund of the travel sum.
