A fantastic week on France’s l’Epinet

My fishing buddy and I visited the still unknown water l'Épinet in November. We were welcomed by the friendly manager and surprised by the beautiful, tranquil water. Our spacious and neat swim immediately impressed us – for me, this is one of the best bivvy waters I know. The other facilities were also in excellent order.

After unpacking our gear, we were ready to explore the water and figure out our hotspots. Here and there we saw a single embankment or pit on the depth gauge and they did make a difference in the fishing. The overhanging trees across the street were also definitely good spots when fishing the corners. Having a bowline placed in the middle also kept you from being bothered by the other anglers. that way everything went correctly.

We chose a mix of 16mm and 20mm boilies mixed together. As we often do, we combined a sweet boilie with a fish boilie. We chose the scopex-liver and Garlic Robin Red from Holland Baits. Our tactics and bait choice proved to be the right ones, as we got our first run quite quickly. Despite the cold, we managed to land about 16 beautiful fish. These had an average weight of well over 17 kg. As the top fish in this session, we got our hands on a beautiful scale carp weighing 25.2 kg.

This water managed to charm us and will gladly return here again.

Another wonderful session added. Thanks to Angling Escapes for the excellent service and good communication.

Best regards

Since childhood, I have been found by the water. Around the age of 12, I learned carp fishing. What makes carp fishing enjoyable for me is the relaxation and preparation for the carp session, combined with a way of fishing that constantly requires innovation to surprise the carp again!
