Rules
The Lot river is a public fishing water. Therefore, a permit is required. This can be purchased at the 'Bar et tabac', Gamm Vert, and fishing tackle shops such as Quercy Pêche in Cahors. You can also order a permit online. If you have the correct permit, you may fish with four rods per person. However, to stay effective, we recommend using four to maximum five rods per boat.
Order permit online
You can purchase a permit via www.cartedepeche.fr and print it out. The website is available in English. First, you need to create an account and upload a photo. Then, you choose which type of permit you want. A holiday permit is valid for seven days and costs €32. Under ‘association’, choose Prayssac. The rest is self-explanatory. If you can't figure it out, feel free to contact us.
Daytime boating
Boating on the Lot is only allowed during daylight. Boating in the dark is dangerous and you risk a (hefty) fine. However, you may use the small dinghy at night for drilling and landing fish.
Mooring
You may stay overnight on the boat if you moor it to the bank. Make sure you don't obstruct other boats.
Night fishing
Night fishing is allowed on the Lot (except for some sections such as Pradines - Douelle). Please note that using a boat at night is prohibited (as on many other waters). The boat must therefore be secured to the bank, otherwise it's considered boating. You can night fish if the boat is moored to the bank.
Break lines/line clips
Stretching fishing lines above the water surface is not allowed during daylight. It is allowed at night.
Use of keepnet
The use of a keepnet is not allowed. Caught fish must be released immediately.

The Lot is popular among anglers. Please be considerate of each other so that everyone can continue to enjoy our fantastic hobby.

Neither the manager, the owner nor Angling Escapes is liable for loss and / or theft of goods or accidents and / or physical injury. Both the manager / owners of the lake and the Angling Escapes cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.
Important, make sure you have a travel and cancellation insurance policy.
If the above rules are not respected, the owner may force you to leave the site at any time without any refunde of the travel sum.
