6-person gite accommodation
On the dike, between swim 1 and 11, there is a neat 6-person gite with beautiful views over the water. You cannot fish from the gite, but the gite is regularly booked as an extra for family and children at swim 1/2 because you can easily walk to the swim from the gite. Of course, you can also book the gite with other swims, but then you need to walk a bit further. The gite has a spacious kitchen with a 4-burner stove, an oven, a microwave and a washing machine. In the spacious bedroom there are 2 single beds that can be pushed together if desired. There is also a bunk bed for 2 children in this bedroom. In the living room there is a 2-person sofa bed. Outside on the waterside you have a cozy terrace to relax with a glass of wine while gazing over the water.

The facilities
Between the gite and swim 1, in the spacious parking area, there is the beautiful clubhouse with large refrigerators and freezers and charging points. Here you can also admire a large number of photos of the beautiful fish that have been caught here. At the back of this building you will find the sanitary facilities. There are 2 spacious showers, separate toilets, separate washing areas.
Furthermore, the baker comes by every day with fresh baguettes and croissants.

The fish stock
The fish stock is amazing. With approximately 800 carp on 24 hectares and sufficient natural food present, the carp are in excellent condition. You will definitely notice this during the fight. The strength with which the fish resist is amazing at Etang des Chateliers. In 2014, netting took place to get a good picture of the current stock at that time, and based on that, various stockings have been done over the years. The heaviest common carp is currently around 26 kilos and the heaviest mirror weighs almost 31+ kilos, but there are at least 10 carp already over 25 kilos. Furthermore, there are over 80 fish that are already above 20 kilos and we are curious when the record here will be improved again. We think this won’t take long due to the natural food supply. The average weight is very good at over 15 kilos. The distribution of the different carp is as follows: the common mirror stock is 30% common, 60% mirror with 30 grass carp (up to 22 kilos) and 5 beautiful koi carp. There are no bream in the lake. There are also roach and pike.

The layout and possibilities of the swims:
Upon arrival you may always use the boats that are on location to transport fishing gear. If you want to use the boats during your entire vacation, this is possible for an additional fee.

Swim 1/2. This is a double swim. This one is close to the parking lot. You can unload nearby and then park your car in the parking lot again.
Swim 4. This is a double swim. This one is only accessible by boat. This swim must be fished by 2 people because the swim cannot be seen from the bank (safety).
Swim 5. This is a double swim. This one is only accessible by boat.
Swim 6. This is a double swim. This one is only accessible by boat.
Swim 7. This is a single swim. This one is only accessible by boat.
Swim 8. This is a double swim.
Swim 9. This is a double swim.
Swim 10. This is a double swim. You can unload the car at the swim and then park it in the central parking lot.
Swim 11. This is a double swim. You can unload the car at the swim and then park it in the central parking lot.

There are 3 boats available including electric motor and battery. If you want to be sure it’s there for you, you need to reserve it. But you can of course always bring your own boat. You can indicate this in the comments field when you make a reservation.

Bait packages of particles and boilies can also be ordered. These are specially prepared by JP.
