Etang Marolles, An oasis with true pearls

A trip to Lake Katlov in Czech Republic was planned which was still yellow on Tuesday before departure, but on Wednesday all of Czech Republic turned orange. Really disappointing but one thing was certain. We were going angling. After contacting Reclin from Angling Escapes, there was space at Etang Marolles in the Mayenne department in France. With 6 people we were going to fish this beautiful lake exclusively.

Carp dream in Herpen

At the beginning of October, we went to Carp Dream for the first time. We had seen the photos on Facebook, but we still didn't know exactly what to expect. Our midweek started restlessly with many false beeps at night, a few missed bites in the lily pads, and a malfunctioning bite alarm. From a young age, I would go with my father after dinner to catch roach behind our house on the canal. The roach became bream slabs and the bream became carp babies. For several years now, my dad and I have been going on fishing holidays. This year we went to De Ganzenkuil water for a long weekend.

A fantastic week on France’s l’Epinet

My fishing buddy and I visited the still unknown water l'Épinet in November. We were welcomed by the friendly manager and surprised by the beautiful, tranquil water. Our spacious and neat swim immediately impressed us – for me, this is one of the best bivvy waters I know. The other facilities were also in excellent order.

Friday morning, September 1st, the time had come: we were going on a fishing holiday again, just the two of us. After last year in France, we opted for a location closer to home this time, namely the Ganzenkuil near Nijmegen. Once we arrived at the beautiful lake, we decided to first take a walk around it. We turned out to be the only ones on the water, so we were allowed to choose a spot ourselves

Was another successful session on the great water L'epinet. A water that draws me time and time again. I can say it has become my favorite water. I try to come here at least once a year. I have fished every season and not without results. This trip yielded over 45 carp! There really are some beautiful fish swimming around at this beautiful location.

Summer Fishing at Aquadev and Castle Lake

June 13 had been circled on our calendars for a long time: Summer fishing in Saône-et-Loire. That week we would fish two waters of Angling Escapes. 2 nights at the already familiar Castle Lake, but the first 4 nights at Aquadev. After we both had a negative PCR test, we could travel to Vauban. A small village in an idyllic French landscape.
