2. Attractions and active recreation

If you would like to do something, you can take a look at the following:

Castle Puebla de Alcocer

06630 Puebla de Alcocer, Badajoz

From Castillo de Alcocer you can see the 3 reservoirs Orellana, La Serena and Zujar in good weather. It is also possible to enter the castle - more information can be found on this website:

Real Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe

10140 Guadalupe, Cáceres

A small town in the Villuercas mountains. Very beautiful and peaceful, you feel the tranquility as you walk through the streets, except for the monastery square, which is very touristy and full of souvenir shops. The monastery is imposing.

Teatro Romano de Medellín

C. Extrarradio, 13, 06411 Medellín, Badajoz

A few years ago, an amphitheater was discovered on the hill of Medellín, a former olive grove. It's a beautiful location, and in the summer, classical theater performances are held there. Further excavations and better maintenance are needed.
