Located between Den Bosch and Nijmegen, just below Ravenstein and near Herpen, lies a beautiful piece of private land spanning almost one hectare. The land is bordered by beautiful tall trees, giving you a truly private feel. It’s a perfect location for a great fishing holiday in the Netherlands. The fish stock is mouthwatering!
It is located on the outskirts of a small village so all city sounds are also far away. An oasis of peace for yourself with only the sound of the birds, the rustling trees and the jumping of the carp. You may also bring your faithful four-legged friend on a fishing vacation. The grounds are fully fenced, allowing the dog to run freely.

The fish stock
Every year, the owner of Karperdroom reviews the fish stock and selects fish that will either remain or be removed. They do this to create a unique fish stock, known to consist of top-quality fish. We will remove fish that no longer meet our requirements for a premium carp stock. The carp stock can be described as good to very good. In addition to some grass carp, there are approximately 80 koi carp, mirror, and common carp, all of impressive weights!
The lake
The ‘wiel’ (formerly known as Artjeswiel) itself spans over 7000m², and its manageable layout offers excellent opportunities for both experienced and less experienced anglers. The depth varies from 1 to 3.5 meters, and thanks to the excellent accommodation, it’s a comfortable place to stay even during colder periods. Karperdroom is rented out exclusively, meaning you and your family or friends will be the only ones at the water during your reserved period. This is also an ideal location for families/friends, or for those where fishing is important but not necessarily the sole focus. During the day, enjoy lovely trips to nearby attractions such as the Herperduin nature reserve, the historic town of Ravenstein, or a visit to the Hertogswetering or the Meuse river.

On the edge of Karperdroom in Herpen, there is a comfortable bungalow suitable for 2 people. The bungalow is equipped with a fully furnished kitchen, microwave, toilet, shower, TV, and seating area. Additionally, there is a double bed here. In the smaller annex, there are 2 single beds with their own toilet facilities.
Through the patio doors of the bungalow you reach the terrace where the rod pod can be placed. So it’s perfectly feasible to fish from the accommodation. There are several small jetties around the lake so you can also choose to bait multiple spots and then fish them.
Since 2021, many improvements have been made to the accommodation. There is now a luxury garden furniture set. The bank has been raised so that rod pods can be positioned better. And there is now also a swimming pool for when you want to take a dip.

Karperdroom is a beautiful nature area of almost 1 hectare that was created during the Beerse Overlaet. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature around the Artjeswiel area. In this nature area lies every carp angler’s dream… ‘Karper Droom’. A unique opportunity for a fishing holiday with your own bungalow and exclusive use of the fishing pond! When you book the holiday for Karperdroom you must still pay a €200 deposit on location. When everything is left neat and tidy, you will receive the deposit back the week after the holiday.

Weekend is from Friday 2:00 PM to Monday 11:00 AM (3 nights)
You must pay a €200 deposit, this is processed via a 'tikkie'.
Violation of the above rules may result in immediate departure. This can be decided unilaterally by the owner. Follow the rules so that everyone has a fantastic week.
2. General Regulations
On all waters brokered by Angling Escapes, you are required to bring First Aid/Carp Care and treat the carp with it.
Neither the manager, the owner, nor Angling Escapes is liable for loss and/or theft of goods or accidents and/or personal injury. Both the manager/owners of the water and Angling Escapes cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.
Important, ensure that you have taken out travel and cancellation insurance.
If the above rules are not respected, the owner may at any time force you to leave the premises without any refund of the travel sum.
