The fish stock
In February 2023, Carpe Experience opened its doors. Prior to this period, Alexis and Delphine carried out various stockings, which means there are now approximately 350 carp swimming in this 9-hectare water. Including mirror carp, common carp, koi carp and grass carp. Several more stockings are also planned. At Carpe Experience, multiple carp have been caught up to 24 kilos and grass carp up to 28 kilos. And it’s a surprise to catch beautiful koi carp among the commons and mirrors! The average weight is between 12 and 15 kilos. And multiple grass carp between 20 to 30 kilos.

Carp fishing in Lot-et-Garonne at Carpe Expérience is a fishing holiday in Feugarolles. In a beautiful and enclosed environment, you’ll discover a private space where carp fishing takes on its full meaning. A wooded and protected environment, ideal for a carp fishing holiday.

Carpe Expérience has a surface area of 9 hectares and 4 swims available. Enough to benefit from a large fishing area to fully enjoy the location in complete peace. You can go to the wild island for even more greenery and tranquility! Carpe Experience has many beautiful common carp and mirror carp up to 24 kilos. It’s a surprise to catch beautiful koi carp among the commons and mirrors! And grass carp up to 28 kilos.

On location, you’ll be welcomed by Alexis or Delphine, the owners, who will ensure that your carp fishing holiday takes place in the best conditions. The locations are designed for carp anglers. They are spacious and accommodate 2 or 3 anglers with all their equipment, including the largest bivvy models. Toilets are available on site for more comfort and as a hygiene measure for the fauna and flora. Carpe Expérience is an ideal place to fish for carp alone, with friends or family. An authentic water area to discover, located in Lot-et-Garonne.

Arrival and departure times
Arrival and departure times are from Saturday 10:00/12:00 until Saturday 09:00/10:00.

Facilities
Carpe Experience has placed toilets at two different locations. One toilet is near swims 1 and 2. Please note that for the island swim you need to take the boat to the other side. Therefore, a portable toilet is also handy to bring along. And one toilet is near swims 3 and 4. It’s possible to shower on location. Pets are allowed at Carpe Experience but you must take into account that there are sheep roaming. Therefore, your pet must be on a leash. 1 pet per swim. At the moment there are no facilities to charge your batteries. The owner is willing to help you with this and will take them and bring them back charged.

The fishing spots
Swim 1 – island, 2/3 anglers:
Discover this very spacious and shady spot that easily accommodates 3 anglers, while you have an area of more than 2.5 hectares without seeing anyone on the horizon, because you’re on one side of the island and can fish at the end of the lake. The margins are the fish’s favorite, but fishing at long distances can also be fruitful if you fish over the gravel bottom in front of you. You can cast your lines out to well over 210 meters. The island is only accessible by boat (provided on site). The shallowest part of this swim is around 1.8 meters deep.

Swim 2 – island, 2/3 anglers:
This very spacious and shady swim easily accommodates 3 anglers, is located on the other side of the island from swim 1 and gives you a view of most of the lake, nothing will escape you. The width of the fishable area allows you to fish both margins and open water. This swim offers both hard and soft patches on the bottom, depending on your approach, this can give beautiful results!

Swim 3 – 2 anglers:
This swim is located on the central part of the lake and accommodates 2 anglers on the equipped area with car access.
You can intercept fish moving in the central part of the lake or on the opposite bank, at more than 165 meters distance. The bait boat will be an advantage when searching for fish and when fishing gravel areas that are rich in natural food. But you certainly shouldn’t forget the margins, as the banks are wooded.

Swim 4 – 2 anglers:
From this swim you fish the end of the lake and can intercept fish wanting to enter the bowl. On this swim a bait boat is very handy because the opposite side is almost 200 meters away. Very spacious swim with car access.

Fishing tackle
On location you can expect the following materials that you must use.
Fox XXL landing mat (unhooking mat), Fox XXL landing net, Fox weight sling. For swims 1 and 2 it’s possible to use a boat to get to the island. This boat is available on location.
