The Fish Stock of Carplake Zevenaar

Carplake Zevenaar has a varied and healthy fish stock with mirror carp, common carp, grass carp and beautiful koi carp. While the exact number of fish is not known, the stock is estimated at around 250 carp, including 12 koi. Additionally, the average weight is around 12.5 kg, while the current lake record stands at an impressive 25 kg. Thanks to this combination, the water is particularly interesting for both beginner and experienced carp anglers.

Exclusive Carp Fishing

Those who choose Carplake Zevenaar benefit from complete exclusivity. With every booking, you have the complete water to yourself. This allows you to enjoy complete peace and carry out your fishing without distraction. Moreover, Carplake Zevenaar is hidden between extensive farmlands and surrounding old trees, which emphasizes the natural atmosphere. This creates a unique fishing experience in a quiet, green and atmospheric environment.

The Lake

The water has an authentic appearance with depths between 2.5 and 4.5 meters. Furthermore, there is a small island or spit in the middle, with a shallow zone around it where carp regularly come to feed. This makes this area an interesting hotspot. This spot can only be fished from swim 3, while from swim 1 you reach the beginning of the bowl.

Additionally, all swims are equipped with electricity and various facilities. Swim 1 has a fully equipped chalet, swim 2 functions as a comfortable bivvy swim, and swim 3 offers a simple chalet with electricity. Moreover, the manager is ready with tips about techniques, bait presentation and strategic hotspots, significantly increasing your chances of success.

The Accommodation

The chalet on swim 1 offers all the necessary luxury for a comfortable stay. The available facilities include:

  • Four garden chairs and a table

Please note that you must bring your own bedchairs and sleeping bags. About 20 meters away there is a portable toilet and at approximately 150 meters there is a shower. Swim 2 is very suitable for anglers who like to fish close to the bank, for example with a pole rod. Swim 3 has a practical chalet with electricity, so you only need to bring your fishing gear and sleeping equipment for a relaxing stay.

The Swims

The lake is over 90 years old and covers approximately 2 hectares of water surface within a 4-hectare site. There are three spacious fishing swims and with exclusive hire you decide which swim(s) you fish. Additionally, a rubber boat is mandatory; you can bring your own or rent one on site.

  • Swim 1: Always accessible by car. Suitable for multiple anglers (maximum 6 rods).
  • Swim 2: Accessible by car in dry weather. Suitable for 1 angler (3 rods).
  • Swim 3: Accessible by car in dry weather. Suitable for 1 to 2 anglers.

The complex is partly surrounded by trees in a rolling Dutch landscape and bordered by trees. Carplake Zevenaar lies between the farmlands. And about 4 minutes’ drive away is the first supermarket.

A €100 deposit and the boat rental must be paid via Tikkie on location.
All prices are exclusive of €20 booking fees.

Rules

You must report to the administrator at the times listed below.
Arrival time is 12:00 PM
Departure time is 12:00 PM

You must pay a €100 deposit on-site, which will be refunded if everything is left in good condition.
It is possible to buy Carp Care on location. Please note that you are required to treat the fish's hook wound with this.

3 rods are allowed
Rods may not be left unattended when the lines are in the water.
Use good strong hooks, no larger than hook size 2 and no smaller than hook size 6 with a barb.
No bent hooks
The landing net must be at least 42 inches / 108 cm. You must bring your own landing net, unhooking mat, and weigh sling. A container with disinfectant is available on-site.
No fixed lead system
No leaders, use tubing on the last 30 to 50 centimeters of your mainline.
Ensure that the fish can free itself at all times in case of line breakage.
Nylon mainline must be at least 30/100 and a maximum of 40/100.
Retainer slings are forbidden
Bait boats are permitted, and an inflatable boat is mandatory. You can bring your own or rent one on-site. You must wear a life jacket in the boat at all times. The use of a boat is always at your own risk! Electric motors are allowed.
Just as you enjoy nature and the surroundings, so do those who come after you. Therefore, all waste must be cleaned up; this also applies to cigarettes, etc.
Barbecues on legs may be used. (Waste must be put in garbage bags and you must clean up.)
Only fully cooked sweet corn and hempseed may be used in small quantities. Hard or uncooked particles and/or tiger nuts may not be used for baiting or fishing, for the welfare of the fish.
Cars are only allowed in designated areas Driving around the estate is not permitted, though you may drive to the swims. Please keep in mind that in rainy weather, not all swims are accessible by car.
Do not leave any waste behind, this also includes cigarette butts and old line, neatly put everything in the garbage bag. Please use the toilet for your needs, WC available. (bring your own toilet paper) After use, you are kindly but urgently requested to leave everything clean.
Damaging trees and plants is strictly prohibited.
Free-roaming animals must be left undisturbed.

General rules

Excessive alcohol consumption is not permitted. If this occurs, you will be forced to leave the premises. Drugs are forbidden. In both cases, you will not receive a refund of your payment.
You may bring your pet, but it must be leashed at all times and you must clean up your pet's waste.
Respect your surroundings and other anglers, so no unnecessary noise from radios, etc.
The entrance gate must always remain closed whether you are on or off the complex, no visitors are allowed, other than the people who have been registered.
Minors may not fish without adult supervision.
Swimming is prohibited.
It is forbidden to have fire on the ground. You may barbecue with a barbecue on legs. (dispose of the coals neatly in the garbage when cooled)
Persons who cause damage to property may be held liable. Caught fish remains the property of the reserved location and must be treated with the utmost care. Please respect the nature around you.

On all waters that Angling Escapes mediates, you are required to bring First Aid and treat the carp with it.

Neither the owner nor Angling Escapes is liable for loss and/or theft of property, or for accidents and/or physical injury. Neither the manager/owners of the water nor Angling Escapes can be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.

Important, ensure that you have taken out travel and cancellation insurance. If the rules are not respected, the owner may at any time compel you to leave the premises without any refund of the travel sum.
