Delta Ebro

The Ebro
The Ebro River runs through all of Spain. With its imposing forms and meanders, it shapes the lines in the landscape. It flows through the mountains with its reservoirs and along rock walls that rise steeply, all the way to the plains where this mighty river flows into the Mediterranean Sea at Rio-Mar. The Ebro is also called ‘the Beating Heart of Spain’ because of the water used for agriculture and rice cultivation.

Fish Population
The Delta with its rice fields is fed by the Ebro from Xerta and forms a true food feast for all animal species, including birds and fish. The fish species living in the Delta include sea bream, sea bass, mullet, palometa and further inland rudd, carp, roach, sunfish, pike-perch, black bass and of course catfish!

The boat
The boat is suitable for a maximum of 4 anglers. This way everyone has enough space on the boat. The boat is also wheelchair accessible! It’s possible to book from 2 anglers up to a maximum of 4 anglers. Non-anglers can join the boat trip by arrangement. We only advise against this because the package is focused on catfish angling and you spend about 8 hours a day on the boat. Arrival and departure times are arranged by consultation as this is also season-dependent. Often you start at 8:00 AM.

Angling Equipment
All angling equipment is available on location. You don’t need to bring anything yourself. Most equipment is from the Shimano brand, but brands like Balzer, Penn, Berkley and Blackcat are also available. The equipment for catfish angling is all somewhat heavier and coarser than what you might normally fish with. The various methods for catfish angling also differ per day. One day drifting is preferred, another day you fish with underwater floats. Thanks to years of experience, we can always offer you the best angling conditions.

Family Holiday
Costa Dorada offers much more than just angling trips and beautiful big fish. We know all too well that the angler in the family often looks forward to the opportunities to fish beautifully on their holiday, but the rest of the family prefers to do all kinds of nice things during their vacation. That’s why this location is very suitable for combining everything. For example, you can go to Salou for a day. This is only an hour’s drive from Costa Dorada. You can spend your day relaxing on the beach during the day and enjoy all the food and drinks in the evening. There are also nice entertainment venues.

Flying
It’s made even better for us by what the airlines have to offer! We therefore advise you to look at departures from Eindhoven Airport or Weeze Airport with Ryanair. This is very affordable nowadays and is about a 1.5-hour drive from the airport to the harbor.

The Surroundings
Costa Dorada in Spain has a coastline of 214 kilometers and is located in the Spanish region of Catalonia in the province of Tarragona. This province has various popular seaside resorts, such as Salou, Ampolla and Cambrils. Costa Dorada literally means “Golden Coast” and is especially known for its tourism. Salou is the capital of Costa Dorada and is the most popular destination on Costa Dorada due to its many tourist facilities and beautiful beaches known as “the beach of Europe”. The coastline of Costa Dorada has many beaches, 36 of which have a blue flag, which stands for international certification of good water and beach quality.

The immediate area where we’re located offers many opportunities for excursions or day trips. For example Cambrils with its old center. Tarragona is definitely worth a visit or how about Barcelona or Valencia? Port Aventura is an adventure paradise or perhaps a day in the mountains to the wine regions of this area? Maybe you’d prefer an evening out in Salou. That’s also possible. In short, too much to mention so what are you waiting for?
