The impressive Etang de la Poiteviniere gives the feeling of being on a large public water. Between impressively large forests around the water and in the surrounding area. Etang de la Poiteviniere is no less than 78 hectares in size. It is a pay lake with an old history. In which Napoleon won the iron ore to make his cannonballs.
The picturesque French village of La Poiteviniere is located in the west of France near Nantes in the department 44 Loire-Atlantique

Please note that Etang de la Poiteviniere is a fishing holiday location where only casting is allowed.

Due to the size of Etang de la Poiteviniere, the water is never completely drained, like many French pay lakes, and has been open to carp anglers since 1995. However, the lake was largely netted in 2010, removing many bream.
The fish stock is impressive, given that a large proportion of customers manage to catch multiple carp during their fishing session! You can catch beautiful fully scaled, mirror, common, ghost and koi carp!
