Accommodation 6-person gite
On the dike, between spot 1 and 11, there is a neat 6-person gite with a beautiful view over the water. Fishing is not allowed from the gite, but the gite is often additionally booked for family and children at spot 1/2 because you can easily walk to the spot from the gite. Of course, you can also book the gite with other spots, but then you have to walk a bit further. The gite has a spacious kitchen with a 4-burner stove, an oven, a microwave, and a washing machine. In the spacious bedroom, there are 2 single beds that can be pushed together if desired. This bedroom also has a bunk bed for 2 children. In the living room, there is a sofa bed for 2 people. Outside on the waterside, you have a cozy terrace to relax with a glass of wine and ponder over the water.

The facilities
Between the gite and spot 1, on the spacious parking lot, there is a beautiful clubhouse with large refrigerators and freezers and charging points. Here you can also admire a large number of photos of the beautiful fish caught here. At the back of this building, you’ll find the sanitary facilities. There are 2 spacious showers here, separate sanitary facilities, and separate washrooms.
Furthermore, the baker comes by every day with fresh baguettes and croissants.

The fish stock
The fish stock is amazing. With approximately 800 carp on 24 hectares and plenty of natural food available, the carp are in excellent condition. You will definitely notice this during the fight. The strength with which the fish resist is incredible at Etang des Chateliers. In 2014, a netting took place to get a good picture of the then-current stock, and based on that, various stockings have been done over the years. The heaviest common carp is currently around 26 kilos, and the heaviest mirror carp is almost 31+ kilos, but there are at least 10 carp already over 25 kilos. Furthermore, there are over 80 fish that are already over 20 kilos, and we are curious when the record will be broken again here. We think it won’t take long due to the natural food supply. The average weight is very good at over 15 kilos. The distribution of the different carp is as follows: the common mirror stock is 30% common, 60% mirror with 30 grass carp (up to 22 kilos) and 5 beautiful koi carp. There are no bream in the lake. However, there are roach and pike.

The layout and possibilities of the spots:
Upon arrival, you can always use the boats on site to transport fishing gear across. If you want to use the boats throughout your entire vacation, this is possible for an additional fee.
Some double spots can also be rented as a single angler, these are spots 1/2, 6, 8, 9. Contact us for these possibilities.

Swim 1/2. This is a double swim. This is close to the parking lot. You can unload nearby and then park your car back in the car park.
Spot 4. This is a double swim. This one is only accessible by boat. This swim must be fished by 2 people because the swim cannot be seen from the bank (safety).
Swim 5. This is a double swim. This one is only accessible by boat.
Spot 6. This is a double swim. This one is only accessible by boat.
Spot 7. This is a single spot. This one is only accessible by boat.
Spot 8. This is a double swim.
Spot 9. This is a double swim.
Spot 10. This is a double swim. You can unload the car at the swim and then park it in the central parking lot.
Spot 11. This is a double swim. You can unload the car at the swim and then park it in the central parking lot.

There are 3 boats available including electric motor and battery. If you want to be sure it’s there for you, you need to reserve it. But you can of course always bring your own boat. You can indicate this in the comments field when you make a reservation.

You can also order bait packages of particles and boilies. These are specially prepared by JP.
