To keep your vacation and that of fellow anglers as pleasant as possible, we have created a small set of rules. We ask everyone to read through this and follow it. For your own enjoyment, the health of the fish, and the future of the water.
Arrival always on Saturday between 11:30 and 12:00. At 12:00 everyone will receive an explanation about the water, the swims, and fishing methods over a cup of coffee. After this you can go to your swim around 12:15-12:30. Departure the following week by 10:00 at the latest.
Please note you will need to bring your own landing net. This must be at least 100cm wide. Upon arrival there is a disinfection tank which you are required to use.
First of all, know that Glory Carp Lake is completely quiet, there is no major road nearby making it dead silent. Sound travels very far over water. Please keep this in mind and speak in hushed tones and keep the volume of music equipment very low and the volume knob of bite alarms doesn't need to be at its loudest either.
Taking and/or moving carp is forbidden at all times. All carp are equipped with microchips and can therefore be identified at all times. Should we discover that carp have been taken, theft charges will be filed immediately with the Police.
Hard drug use and excessive alcohol consumption is prohibited. Upon detection you will be immediately asked to leave without right to refund of deposit or refund of the remaining days you could otherwise still stay.
All swims are accessible by car. On Saturday you can drive to the swim to unload your fishing gear. After that cars can be parked in the parking lot at the clubhouse. Those who prefer to leave their car at the swim may do so, but this is not advised (this is to prevent constant slamming of car doors and driving around all day). Parking is within the gate and there is camera surveillance so your car is always safe.
Dogs are only allowed on swim 4.
It is not permitted to prune trees, branches or reeds. If you have problems with vegetation, report this to the manager.
Weigh slings, unhooking mats and water buckets are available in duplicate at each swim. So leave your own equipment at home, except for the landing net.
Keepnets are not allowed. Upon use you will be immediately asked to leave. Slings/floating weigh slings with floats are allowed for a maximum of 30 minutes. Make sure you have a camera with good flash to take beautiful night photos.
Anything smaller than hook size 6 is prohibited! Micro barbs or barbed hooks are mandatory.
Bent hooks/claw hooks/cranked hooks are prohibited.
Only use fish-safe lead systems where the lead and fish can break free after line breakage.
Braided mainline, shock leaders or other leaders are prohibited. Minimum mainline thickness 0.35mm nylon. Everyone must fish with a safety system so that the fish always loses the lead immediately upon line breakage.
To indicate the boundaries of your fishing area, a map has been created in the clubhouse. There are also permanent markers on the swims to indicate the boundaries. These markers have been placed using GPS. So do not move them!
Bait boats are allowed however please respect your neighbors.
Boats + electric motor + battery are available on location. Please note that use is at your own risk and life jackets are mandatory. Life jackets are NOT provided.
Please be considerate of the neighbors here as well.
All particles are allowed however soaked and cooked! If not properly prepared you will be asked to leave immediately. You may also use tiger nuts provided they have been cooked for at least one hour.
Maximum 3 rods allowed per angler.
Public urination is strictly prohibited, use the toilet.
Barbecues are allowed provided they are on legs.
It is prohibited to have loose litter on or around the swim, you must take this with you.
Minors may not fish without adult supervision.
The use of clinic or another form of wound disinfectant is mandatory.
