Lake Horgesti is one of the most important lakes for catching large carp in Romania. The lake has a rectangular shape and measures approximately 900 meters in length and up to 350 meters in width in some places. At maximum water level, the lake covers an area of 54.7 hectares and reaches a maximum depth of approximately 3.5 meters.
Lake Horgesti is not a classic commercial fishery. The carp density is deliberately kept at a moderate level to provide the fish with sufficient natural food, ensuring constant and healthy growth. The lake is rich in natural food such as snails, mosquito larvae and even crayfish. The water certainly offers challenges for the carp angler to catch the large carp. It is very convenient that all swims are easily accessible right to the banks.
People who like to travel with a motorhome or caravan have the opportunity to park here at the waterside. We would like to highlight swims 20, 21 or 22 where you have plenty of space and also electricity.
