We are proud to offer 2 exclusive weeks at Pelagicevo Lake in Bosnia for 2025. Pelagicevo Lake in Bosnia is a hidden gem in a beautiful natural, peaceful, wooded environment and is located just 20 kilometers past the border with Croatia. The lake is 19 hectares in size and is a sand excavation over 50 years old. The first carp were stocked in 1967 and a club was formed for management. The average depth is around 2.5 meters, but because the lake is filled by groundwater sources, the height can fluctuate depending on wetter or drier periods. Due to excellent management over the last 15 years, a population has developed to make your mouth water. The current lake record currently stands at 37.8 kilos, but there are certainly 6 fish swimming at the moment that easily exceed 30 kilos.

For 2025, we have a week in the big fish season from 25-10-2025 to 01-11-2025. Since it can still be quite cold in Bosnia during this period, the fish may not be fully active yet. As the fish approach autumn, you might be lucky that the big feeding is about to begin. And catching multiple big fish in this week could certainly be possible.

  • Number of pegs: 6

Thanks to excellent management over the past 15 years, a mouth-watering fish stock has been established. The current lake record is 37.8 kg, but there are already at least 6 fish currently swimming that easily exceed 30 kg. The number of fish between 25 and 30 kg is around 30, while the number of fish over 20 kg exceeds 90. The number of fish in the lake has been deliberately kept lower so that the fish have ample food to continue growing. This is also reflected in the impressive average weight of 19 kg. Nevertheless, the water contains 450 carp, of which 30% are common carp and 70% are mirror carp. This has been clearly visible over the past years, and even now, the fish continue to show excellent growth. Who knows what the future record will be.

Accommodation/Facilities
The clubhouse has all the amenities you need, such as water (not drinking water), showers, toilets.
Wi-Fi is available around the entire lake. Please use WhatsApp or Messenger to call people within the EU. This helps avoid high costs. Each spot has a landing net, unhooking mat, and weigh sling available. A deposit of €50 is required per set. You are not allowed to use your own landing net, etc. provided.
It is possible to reach each spot by car or even a small camper, which can also be parked at the spot.

Arrival and departure times
Arrival time: 12:00
Departure time: 11:00 AM

The fishing spots
The lake itself has 9 double spots and 1 single spot, but since we book the weeks exclusively, we only fill 6 double spots. This gives every angler much more fishing water at their disposal. For this reason, you are allowed to fish with 4 rods each instead of the usual 3 rods. Each spot is spacious and tidy. You can easily reach it by car or (small) camper, and you can leave your car at the spot for the entire week. Bait boats are allowed, but you must keep the lights on your bait boat on at night. Zig rig fishing is prohibited. Since Bosnia is outside the EU, phone and internet costs can be quite high. Please keep this in mind! This is why Wi-Fi is available around the entire lake so you can upload your catches or stay in touch with home.

Available at each swim:
At Pelagicevo, they take biosecurity very seriously and provide you with all the fishing gear needed to land, weigh, and care for the carp you catch. This includes a landing net, unhooking mat, and weigh sling/holder.
Make sure not to take these items with you. We require a deposit of €50 for these items. You will get this back at the end of the week if the kit is returned undamaged.

The fish stock
The common carp lake record is 37.8 kg and the mirror carp lake record is 34.2 kg!
“We are absolutely certain that the lake has great potential. Young carp are showing excellent, incredible growth. Currently, there are no carp under 10 kg in the lake, and we intend to keep it that way. There are currently 450 carp in the lake, with an average weight of 19 kg. By adding another 150 carp to the lake in autumn, we aim to slightly increase the fish biomass. All carp introduced to the lake from this point onwards are carefully selected to ensure the best genetic growth potential. The lake is currently known for offering a good challenge to every angler, and we want to maintain it at this level. We strive for quality over quantity (not too many carp, but large ones). We can ensure that the lake will be a pleasure and, at the same time, offer a great challenge.”
Other fish species in the lake: grass carp, catfish, pike, zander, bream, roach

Some tips for fishing Pelagicevo Lake
Don’t overfeed (1-1.5 kg per bait boat)
For fishing, we recommend a mix of pellets and boilies.
Spread the rods (don’t place the rods together in one fishing spot)
Do not touch the bait for 48 hours.
Use less and better bait: quality over quantity.
We recommend using boilies that are spicy or meat/fish-based.
