La Petite Coquais

Vlag voor France France Show on map

La Petite Coquais is a spacious 18th-century building with 3 rooms all with private bathrooms in the Congrier area of France. This barn is located in a small community in the midst of 16 acres of private fields and woods with private guest access which give access to 3 lakes. It is a tastefully decorated furnished venue including (English) satellite TV, DVD player, free Wi-Fi and central heating for guests wishing to stay there in winter.

The excellently equipped open kitchen with dining area has large French doors that open onto an enclosed private garden with barbecue facilities and a spacious patio with seating, loungers and a swimming pool in the summer months. In the garden there is also a petanque court where you can have a fun competition with family, for example.

A perfect fishing vacation base to relax in peace, but also a short distance from all local amenities and close to a wealth of cultural activities.

The lakes
La Petite Coquais has 3 lakes. One for fishing and the other two are stock ponds for their own fish. In the Congrier area. The largest lake is 50 meters from the house and is about 1.5 hectares in size. If you want to fish through the night, you’ll need to stay by the water to fish responsibly. The large lake is home to all types of fish for coarse fishing, carp, pike, and trout. There is no tench in the water.
The two small waters together are about 1 hectare; you can night fish from a tent here and also drive up to it. We recommend 2 rods per angler here, depending on the size of the group, but you may also use 3 rods per angler. These two smaller waters are about 100 meters from the accommodation. The two smaller lakes contain all types of fish for coarse fishing, carp, and pike. The waters are on average between 2 to 4 meters deep.

Guests can visit some of the region’s famous castles and vineyards, but also the major cities such as Nantes, Rennes, Angers and Laval, are well worth a visit because of their own rich unique history with castles, modern tram systems and exclusive shops.

Near La Petite Coquais you will also find some more local tourist attractions such as Terra Botanica, an amusement and botanical park, but also La Petite Couere, a unique eco and agricultural museum with a varied collection of animals and typical French villages is recommended.

Recently, the new ATOL shopping center near Anger has also become a very popular location for guests due to the many shops and restaurants in one location. Also nearby are the market towns of La Guerche-de-Bretagne and Chateau Gontier with their excellent markets, bars and restaurants where you can taste the local cuisine.

The jet set resort of La Baule is an ideal destination for a trip to the coast, but the seaside resorts of Dinan and St Malo are also worth a visit.

La Petite Coquais is therefore an excellent location to explore the area where guests return every year.
