Tournesol

The foundations of Tournesol date back to the 13th century and belonged to Les Hospitaliers de Saint Jean de Jerusalem, which was rebuilt in the 16th century. Under the lords of Flavignac, there were several disputes with the lords of Les Cars, with records found in the Templar archives in Limoges (Limoges was an important Templar fortress). The most recent renovation dates from the 1970s, to which Tournesol owes its current appearance. The Belgian owner and his family fell in love with the Tournesol area, with streams flowing over the complex and gathering in the large body of water. This has created a family business where the son has become the manager of this beautiful complex.

The accommodation
A new mobile home has been set up by the water at Tournesol. You can fish from the mobile home.

Description:
3 bedrooms: 1 large bedroom with a double bed,
1 bedroom with two single beds, the third bedroom with a bunk bed.
2 bathrooms with 2 separate toilets.
Equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, and everything you need.
The mobile home has 1 terrace overlooking the lake and is furnished with a terrace table, chairs, and a barbecue.
All linens are provided.
Bed linen, duvets, tea towels.

The cleaning fee is €50, but you can also clean the accommodation before you leave.
You must pay the cleaning fee in cash on site.

The fish stock
There are beautiful common carp, mirror carp, carp, and grass carp. For the coarse angler, there are beautiful rudd, tench, and zander. If you like carp fishing, we recommend bringing shrink tubing because there are crayfish. These are regularly caught. But it’s better to have it than not. For the angler who likes to fish actively and all-round, Tournesol is a perfect location!

The lake
Tournesol is classified as a family or group location. If you rent the lake, you have the fishing water including the accommodation. The water is known for its beautiful carp in the region, which is why it is a well-known mixed water in France. The water is about 2 meters deep, the depth can vary slightly as the streams rise or fall because it is connected to a large body of water. There are several spots where you can fish. The owner also offers a boat that you can use (at your own risk). Tournesol is good for static fishing, but in between, it’s also very fun to bring a 5m pole. Small hand-sized carp and rudd also swim there. That’s very fun to fish for in between. The pole is not considered an extra rod.

The surroundings
About 3 km from Tournesol, there is a go-kart track, a challenging trip for the whole family. And at a distance of 10 km, there is a surprising park where you can climb like monkeys between trees at a height of 9 meters, of course with a safety harness. There is also a swimming lake and a playground for young children.
Or would you prefer a 12 km train ride where you can dream away! It takes you through the beautiful nature of the French countryside, a must!

Perhaps a visit to the local zoo (Parc du Reynou), just 20 km from your accommodation. A little further away, about 45 km, there is a lake for water skiing, suitable for beginners and advanced skiers. Lessons for children at affordable prices. In short, there is plenty to do for the whole family.
