Fishing Tips and Tricks

The Landing Net Support

When you’re by the water, you usually place your landing net in a strategic spot, so you have it within reach and can grab it when you need it.

After the catch, the landing net is wet, it lies on the ground, and you can step on it or trip over it. Or you lean the landing net against something to let it dry, but this is often not the spot where it’s within easy reach!

A standard parasol holder that you can easily screw into the ground using the ground spike.

What I use is a plastic ground spike for a parasol holder. You screw this into the ground at the desired spot. My landing net fits perfectly in the parasol holder! The advantage of this is that it’s always within easy reach and can dry well when wet, plus you can’t step on it or trip over it.

What you do need to pay attention to is the diameter of the parasol holder compared to the diameter of your landing net handle.

Regards, Marcel

I have been fishing all my life, but the carp bug started around when I was sixteen, in the western part of the country where I was born. I was less active in fishing for a few years, but the passion runs where it cannot be suppressed. Fishing truly brings me peace, being out in nature, and feeling the adrenaline rush when the bite alarm goes off. Besides carp fishing, I enjoy experimenting with everything related to carp fishing.
