‘Aquadev’ is a beautiful French water hidden from the outside world. When you arrive at the parking lot, there is an overwhelming silence. In fact, the water is so hidden that you can only see the tops of the trees. If you then follow the stairs down between the trees, you will find yourself in your own valley. Your own paradise of no less than 6 acres of nature! When you stand on the little beach and look out over the water, all you see is forest. The only sounds you will hear in this paradise are singing birds and croaking frogs. And, of course, the sound of your peeps and jumping fish.

The Lake
Weeds grow around the shores and in the shallower parts, but this isn’t problematic. The bottom consists mainly of sand and pebbles, with softer ground in the middle. Several harder plateaus can be found in between. When facing away from the accommodation, we recommend actively fishing with a float on the left side of the water. For the island and right side of the water, we suggest static fishing.
The Fish Stock
The water was purchased in 2009 by the friendly French owner Eric Devigne, who also speaks good English. Since the water wasn’t emptied after purchase (which isn’t possible due to the steep banks), the exact fish stock remains unknown. This means there’s still plenty for you to discover! Eric also works on netting fish from other waters in his area. This gives him access to beautiful fish which he stocks in his lovely Aquadev water. Beautiful fully-scaled carp, mirror carp, ghost carp, and some common carp.

Accommodation
During the winter months, work has been done to offer you an even better holiday experience. You can now enjoy a lakeside chalet that accommodates 4 people. The cabin has a dining table with four chairs, a two-burner gas stove, and shelves stocked with pans, cups, plates, and cutlery. Many wall shelves have been installed to help you organize your belongings easily.

On the spacious 30 m2 veranda, you can enjoy evening barbecues and a glass of wine while overlooking the water. Aquadev is also recommended for colder periods due to the water’s varying depths. For the winter months, there’s a cozy wood stove ready. The chalet can accommodate 4 people sleeping on their own camp beds. Electricity is also available in the chalet.

Sanitary Facilities
There’s a log cabin up by the parking area. Here you’ll find a shower and French (dry) toilet. The shower water is supplied from the lake through a filter and powered by a generator. There’s also a large kitchen area for washing dishes.

The Fishing Spots
To get your equipment to your spot, you can drive left along the parking area down to the beach at spot 2. Here you can load your gear into the boat and sail to spot 1 on the opposite side, saving you from carrying everything down the stairs.

You’re completely free to choose what you’d like to do. Besides the cabin at Aquadev, you can also set up bivvies. You can enjoy swimming at the beach in front of the chalet.

Surroundings
In the nearby village of Saint Maurice les Chateauneuf, about 3 minutes from Aquadev, you’ll find a bakery and a butcher shop. You can also enjoy delicious pizza here or visit other restaurants. If you want to do larger shopping, you can go to Chauffailles, which is a 15-minute drive from Aquadev.

Non-anglers cost €210 per week, but they may cast a line for coarse fish and predatory fish.
When you select the period in the calendar, a price calculation is automatically made for you.

All prices exclude €20 booking fee.

1. Rules

You must report to the administrator at the times listed below.
If you are delayed please contact the owner by phone.
Week is from Saturday 2:00 PM to Saturday 10:00 AM (7 nights)
PLEASE NOTE: The location of aquadev itself is difficult to find! When you have arrived at the water with the owner.
Save your location in your navigation.

You may bring a rowboat, make sure it's completely dry from the previous fishing session (this prevents the spread of disease). There are also plastic boats available on site
Bait boats may be used
Wet the landing net and unhooking mat before use. Keep the fish wet while photographing.
Fish may not be kept in a weigh sling or retention sack.
The landing net and unhooking mat must be at least 100 cm in size.
Braided mainline is allowed if you're fishing in a weedy area.
Nylon mainline must be at least 30/100 and maximum 40/100, and the last 30 centimeters must be equipped with tubing.
No fixed lead system, only free-running systems or swivel leads are allowed.
Use good strong hooks no larger than size 2 with micro barb and no smaller than size 6. No benthooks
Rods must not be left unattended when lines are in the water.
3 rods are allowed per angler.

2. General rules

Please respect the nature around you. Damaging trees and plants is strictly prohibited.
Persons who cause damage to property may be held liable for it. Caught fish remain the property of the reserved location and must be handled with the utmost care - NO KILL.
Free-roaming animals must be left undisturbed.
It is forbidden to make/have fire on the ground
Please use the toilet for your needs, WC available. (bring your own toilet paper just to be sure) After use, you are kindly but urgently requested to leave everything clean.
Do not leave any waste behind, cigarette butts and old line are included in this, put everything neatly in the garbage bag. Note that in France, the garbage is sorted.
Minors are not allowed to fish without adult supervision.
No visitors are allowed, other than the people who have been registered.
You may bring pets, but their waste must be cleaned up.
Barbecue on legs may be used. (waste should be put in garbage bags and cleaned up yourself after the coals have cooled down)

On all waters that Angling Escapes mediates, you are required to bring First Aid and treat the carp with it.

Neither the manager, the owner, nor Angling Escapes is liable for loss and/or theft of goods or accidents and/or personal injury. Both the manager/owners of the water and Angling Escapes cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.

Important, ensure that you have taken out travel and cancellation insurance.
If the above rules are not respected, the owner may at any time force you to leave the premises without any refund of the travel sum.
