This beautiful and mature gravel pit is a very special place next to a nature reserve. It is surrounded by fields, forests and other lakes, and nearby is a small village of Klus. Despite its small size of only 2.5 acres, it is home to some very large and beautiful fish. This is how the name originated in the first place: you will catch diamonds! It is possible to fish Diamond Lake with 4 anglers, but it is advised to go with 2 anglers. It is possible to pitch a camper or caravan at the swim during the dry periods of the year. There is no electricity available.

Diamond Lake
It’s located near the town of Minden and is only accessible through a gate. Thanks to a small road, both spots can be fished from a van/camper. There’s a takeaway restaurant nearby – let us know if you’d like a tasty pizza or pasta! This service is included with week bookings. For weekend or midweek bookings, you can add this as an extra.
The average depth is about 2.5-3 meters at normal water level. There is a large shallow bank connecting peg one and two. Most fish are caught across from the pegs. The bottom is very clean, except for a few small patches of weed. Be mindful of some trees standing underwater on the northwest side. Those trees seem tempting to place a rig, but you’ll need to be quick with your rods.

The fish stock:
There are about 60 carp in total. The average weight is around 16-17 kg. Most fish were stocked a long time ago, so they are not easy to catch and have quite an old character. But it’s all the more beautiful when you catch them!

The carp are accustomed to the bait offered on site. Please contact us in advance to specify the amount of bait you need.

Diamond Lake is located near the village of Klus. Unfortunately, Klus doesn’t have any supermarkets. However, about 5 minutes away by car is the town of Minden where you can find a supermarket.
