Carplake Medenice
is a private water owned by the well-known sport angler Jakub Vágner. You’ll find a very interesting fish stock here, but not an overstocked water. Thanks to years of experience, we know that in this case less always means more. Their goal is to create a paradise for anglers, but also for fish. Every fish in the lake is so unique that even the most demanding angler will appreciate it. You’ll find beautiful and interesting forms of fully scaled, mirror and common carp weighing around 20 kg! This location is promising again due to its location, size and biotope. The expectation is that some carp will reach 30 kilos in the coming years. The prices include the use of facilities and a rowing boat. Arrival and departure days are Wednesday or Sunday. These are the only arrival days for 2023.

Rules

You are expected to know the rules of Carplake Katlov upon arrival.
By booking and upon arrival, the visitor agrees to the rules below.
The fishing permit is valid for 3 rods, each with a single rig and single hook.
Long shank hooks, cranked hooks, and bent hooks are forbidden.
Only freefall systems are allowed. This means that in the event of a line break, the carp will only be left with the rig.
Main line must be a minimum of 0.30mm nylon.
Lead leaders are prohibited; only lead-free versions may be used. Helicopter rigs and chod rigs are prohibited.
Permitted bait types: Boilies, pellets, cooked particles, imitation bait, and method mix. You are permitted to play the fish from a boat (1 boat per swim is available on site with oars).
Feeder fishing is permitted, provided no fixed systems are used.
You may use markers (plastic rods only).
You are required to take good care of your caught fish. Wet your unhooking mat before use. And repeatedly wet the fish while it is on the mat. If the carp has wounds, you are required to use Carp Care/antiseptic to treat them.
An unhooking mat, weighing sling, and landing net are available for you on site. However, we still recommend bringing your own landing net, as catch rates are high. If you bring your own landing net, please consult with the manager to have it treated against diseases. You can also prevent diseases by ensuring your equipment is thoroughly dry after your previous session.
When taking a photo with a fish, you are required to hold it while squatting or kneeling. Standing while holding the fish is strictly prohibited! The photo session may not last longer than 5 minutes. Carp weighing more than 15 kg may only be photographed in the water. Please bring your waders or thigh waders for this purpose. These are also available for rent, if needed.
It is forbidden to retain your fish!
Dogs are permitted; please inform the manager upon arrival. You must keep your pet at your swim and clean up its waste. The owner has a small dog named Charlie, who walks around the lake daily.
It is not possible to access all swims by car. It is likely that you will need to transport your fishing gear to your swim by boat.
There are predatory fish in the water; it is forbidden to fish for them.
House Rules
Parking is only permitted in the main car park.
You are required to use the on-site toilet and shower facilities. You may not swim in the lake. Toilets have been built at Katlov between each fishing spot. Additionally, there is a large sanitary building for showering, using the toilet, or washing your dishes.
Excessive alcohol consumption is not permitted. All types of drugs are prohibited.
Radios are permitted; please be considerate of your neighbors and keep the volume low.
The swim must be kept clean, just as you found it.
It is forbidden to damage nature in and around the water.
Campfires are permitted only in designated areas, or you may bring your own stove (these are also available for rent).
Violation of these rules will result in removal from the premises without a refund of your reservation. Future reservations may also be refused.
Visitors are permitted, but you must inform the manager in advance.
The owner of Catlake Medenice reserves the right to all photos and film material taken on site. These may be used for commercial purposes or promotion.
Please note that you are responsible for your belongings in case of theft or damage.
On all waters brokered by Angling Escapes, you are required to bring First Aid/Carp Care and treat the carp with it.
Neither the manager, the owner, nor Angling Escapes is liable for loss and/or theft of goods or accidents and/or personal injury. Both the manager/owners of the water and Angling Escapes cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.
Important, ensure that you have taken out travel and cancellation insurance.
If the above rules are not respected, the owner may at any time force you to leave the premises without any refund of the travel sum.
