Etang Chayenne is located in the north of France, 490 kilometers from Breda and close to the city of Troyes. The water was created half a century ago by gravel extraction. The lake is approximately 1.9 hectares and has an average depth of 3 meters. Due to the excavation, some ridges have been created between 2 and 2.5 meters. The deepest point is at 4 meters. The soil is hard because of clay and stones. The Chalet
Right on the lake is a cozy chalet with 2 double beds (in the same room), a dining table with 4 chairs, TV, stereo, stove and a wardrobe. The chalet has patio doors and you walk outside.
There is a lamp with a motion detector above the door, so that during a run you also have the same light when you walk outside. No wifi.

The annex building
Right next to the chalet is a spacious stone outbuilding with a large covered terrace. If the sun is too hot, the roof provides shade. If it rains, you can still sit outside and dry. Here is also a large outdoor table with chairs and a barbecue.

In the annex you will find the well-kept shower, separate toilet and the spacious kitchen with all modern conveniences. There is an oven / gas stove, a coffee maker, a microwave and a large fridge. Of course the kitchen is equipped with pots, pans and necessary cutlery. There is 220 volt electricity in both buildings.

Fish stock
The stock is very varied. There are scale carp, mirror carp, leather carp and even beautifully colored and marked Koi carp. There are several 25+ kilo giants swimming at Etang Chayenne. There are also a few sturgeons and you can expect a few bream.

Area
Because of the way Etang Chayenne is arranged, you are in complete privacy here. A fantastic water that you have for yourself. It can therefore only be rented in its entirety for a good price per week. Just 5 kilometers from Etang Chayenne is a nice French village with a supermarket, a tobacconist and a gas station. The large French town of Troyes is 25 km away. Here you will also find the “Mac Arthur Glen” out-let store, which is certainly worth a visit.

Rules

Rules of Etang Chayenne

You must report to the administrator at the following times.
If you are delayed, please contact the owner by phone.
Week is from Saturday 2pm to Saturday 10am (7 nights)
- 3 fishing rods are allowed
- Fishing rods may not be left unattended when the lines are in the water.
- Good strong hooks do not use larger than size hook 2 with micro barb
- No benthooks
- No fixed weight system, only free running systems are allowed.
- Make sure that the fish can free itself at all times if the line breaks.
- Nylon must have a minimum breaking strength of 12 or 15 lb and the last 30 centimeters must be tubed.
- The landing net must be a minimum of 42 inches / 108 cm.
- The unhooking size must be longer than one meter.
- Wet the landing net and unhooking mat before using it.
- The fish may not be kept in a weight sling or storage bag.
- Keep the fish wet while shooting.
- Bait boats and dinghies may be used.
- You must have a life jacket on in the boat at all times.
- The use of a boat is always at your own risk!
- Just as you enjoy nature and the environment, the people after you want that too. That is why all waste must be cleaned up, this money also for cigarettes etc.
- Barbecue on legs may be used. (waste should be put in garbage bags.)
- If rules have changed in the meantime of your booking, you will be informed by the manager upon arrival

Parking
Cars are only allowed in the applicable places. Driving around the domain is not allowed.

General rules
You may bring your pet, however, it must be on a leash at all times and clean up the faeces of your pet.
Respect your environment and other fishermen, so no unnecessary noise from radios etc.
The entrance gate must always remain closed whether you are on or off the complex, no visitors are allowed, outside the people who have been registered.
Children under 15 are not allowed to fish unaccompanied.
The use of garbage bags is mandatory
No waste, cigarette butts and old line are also part of this, neatly put everything in the garbage bag.
Use the toilet, toilet available for your needs. (bring your own toilet paper)
After using this you are kindly but urged to leave everything clean.
Swimming is prohibited.
It is forbidden to have fire on the ground
Damaging trees and plants is strictly prohibited.
Free-roaming animals should be left alone.
Persons who cause damage to property can be held liable for this. Caught fish remains the property of the reserved location and must be handled with the utmost care NO KILL.

On all waters that Angling Escapes mediates, you are obliged to bring First Aid and to treat the carp with it.

Neither the manager, the owner nor Angling Escapes is liable for loss and / or theft of goods or accidents and / or physical injury. Both the manager / owners of the water and Angling Escapes cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.
Important, make sure you have a travel and cancellation insurance policy.
If the above rules are not respected, the owner may force you to leave the site at any time without any refund of the travel sum.
