Pellets are usually only used for baiting when carp angling, as they are small and very attractive. However, you can do much more with pellets, for example on the hair. This can yield quite a few carp, especially in small lakes with a lot of pressure.
In Various Types and Sizes
Pellets come in different sizes. If you want to drill through them, they usually break, so buy pre-drilled pellets. It’s best to use the 12 mm ones, especially those full of oil, as they stay on the hair longer. It does require a bit more work, as a pellet doesn’t stay on your hair for very long, as they dissolve in the water. If the water is warm, you need to apply new bait every two hours, because the last thing you want is to fish with an empty hair.
Many carp and catfish have been caught this way, good luck!
