1. Regels

You must report to the manager at the times below.
If you are delayed, please contact the owner by telephone.

Upon arrival you must report to the parking lot at the Bailiff Freddie

Only carp fishing is allowed on site. Fishing takes place day and night, No Kill: immediate release into the water for all catches during the day, only fish caught at night may be retained and returned to the water in the early morning (maximum 1 hour after sunrise).
Each angler may use 4 fishing rods.
Live and dead bait such as maggots, earthworms, etc.
Peanuts and tiger nuts are not allowed. The remaining seeds/particles should be cooked and soft to ensure they are properly absorbed by the fish.
Fishing is only allowed from the spot/jetty.
Special case of the island sites: Boats are made available to reach the island sites. These may only be used for transport (people and equipment) from the shore to the island and from the island to the shore. It is strictly prohibited to use the boats for other purposes.
The lead must be able to slide. These must absolutely be able to release if the line gets stuck in an obstacle.
The nylon main line should have a diameter between 30/100 and 40/100.
Leader (without lead); the last meter must be equipped with a fish-safe leader.
Only single hooks are allowed (maximum size 2), these must be virtually barbless, with flattened barbs or micro barbs. The use of twisted hooks/benthooks/cranked hooks is prohibited.
Braided leader is prohibited. Only coated braided leader materials are permitted for making leader lines.
Fishing should be conducted in a depth of water sufficient not to endanger the fish. To do this, every angler must have waders.
Barbecue on legs may be used.
Mandatory landing mat (60/90 cm and at least 5 cm thick); every angler must have a special carp landing net (at least 90 cm wingspan).
Any mutilation of a fish will result in the immediate removal of the fisherman. Transport of live specimens is strictly prohibited and will result in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law!
Fishing rods must not be left unattended while fishing.
Markers are prohibited
Persons who cause damage to property can be held liable.
Fish caught remain the property of the location and must be treated with the utmost care, No kill

Violation of the above rules may mean immediate departure. This can be decided unilaterally by the owner. Stick to the rules so that everyone has a fantastic week.

2. General rule

All fish photos taken may be published by us and Etang de la Poiteviniere and used for advertising purposes.

Alcohol consumption is permitted in moderation. If we deem that intoxication has occurred, you risk immediate removal. Drugs are not allowed.
Silence; We observe silence from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Loud talking and music are not allowed.
Swimming and diving are not allowed.
It is forbidden to have/make fire on the ground.

On all lakes that Angling Escapes mediates you are obliged to bring First Aid / Carp Care and to treat the carp with it.
Neither the manager, the owner nor Angling Escapes is liable for loss and / or theft of goods or accidents and / or physical injury. Both the manager / owners of the lake and the Angling Escapes cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.

Important, make sure you have a travel and cancellation insurance policy.
If the above rules are not respected, the owner may force you to leave the site at any time without any refunde of the travel sum.

3. Sightseeing and active recreation

Melleray Abbey

A place of meditation and starting point for a walk, the abbey is located in a watery environment (which will be dry in autumn 2022)

We had a lot of fun exploring the garden looking for the wonderful plant.
The puzzle mechanisms are varied and encourage us to observe the park. And be careful... Ercochard really has a character! We loved the character!
