Angling Escapes is hosting a youth weekend at De Ganzenkuil in the Netherlands this year. A total of 12 anglers (6 couples) may participate. So don’t wait too long to sign up!

Learn new skills and techniques from experienced anglers, while enjoying the beautiful nature and socializing with other anglers. What to expect.

During this weekend you will learn all about modern carp techniques from experienced anglers. Each duo will have its own supervisor who will help you improve your fishing skills and catch nice carp. The following topics will be covered:

• Fish Care: Learn how to handle carp safely and responsibly, including the use of unhooking mats, weigh bags and wound care.

• Fishing from a boat: Learn how to fish effectively from a dinghy, including the proper use of a depth sounder.

• Using a feeding boat: Learn how to use a feeding boat to accurately place your bait.

• Throwing clinic: Improve your throwing technique with tips on distance and accuracy.

• Rigclinic: Get an understanding of how to make and use different rigs, such as the hair rig and chod rig.

• Bait Selection and Use: Find out which bait works best under different conditions and how to use it effectively.
