The package includes a 15-horsepower aluminum boat, which can be used without a boating license. For those who want a more intensive fishing experience or to learn new techniques, it is possible to book a guide per day. The guide is fully equipped with high-quality rods, reels, and a wide selection of artificial lures.
Fishing techniques such as casting, trolling, vertical fishing, and dropshotting are guided and explained by the professional, allowing both beginners and experienced predator anglers to get the most out of their fishing day. The combination of professional guidance, modern boats, and local knowledge ensures that each day on the water brings a new fishing adventure.
Predator Fishing at the Orellana Reservoir: Pike, Zander, Black Bass, and Comizo Barbel
Predator fishing in Spain is possible all year round, as there is no closed season.

The Orellana Reservoir offers an impressive variety of predator fish species.
Pike is one of the most popular catches, with specimens often ranging between 80 and 120 centimeters. Pike are especially active around water plants, shallow bays, and under bridges, making large artificial lures or jerkbaits highly effective.
Zander are regularly caught, particularly near structures such as piers, rocks, or rocky shores. With an average length between 50 and 70 centimeters, zander provide exciting fights and memorable fishing experiences.
Black Bass is prized for its fighting power and agility. This species is commonly found along sheltered banks, under overhanging trees, and near water plants. Softbaits, poppers, and small jerkbaits are particularly effective.
A special attraction is the rare Comizo Barbel, found in only a few waters in Spain. This unique species provides a real challenge and makes predator fishing in Extremadura truly unforgettable.

The Boats
The robust aluminum boats are equipped with 15-horsepower engines and can be used without a boating license. On request, Angeln Extremadura provides a fishfinder to help locate the best fishing spots.
In cooperation with Tacklepeak and CMW Rutenbau, premium rental equipment is also available. Additionally, bait and other gear can be purchased directly on site.
For an even more intensive experience, Marcus, an experienced guide, can be booked for an additional fee.

The Orellana Reservoir is easily accessible via the airports of Madrid and Seville. From these cities, the drive to Orellana la Vieja takes approximately three to four hours.
For a comfortable and successful fishing holiday, it is recommended to bring comfortable clothing, waterproof shoes, and suitable fishing equipment.
