Etang du Galet covers 3 acre and has a rectangular shape. On the shore, there is a simple yet well-maintained chalet where you can stay during your trip. The chalet is equipped with basic amenities, such as a kitchenette, a sofa, a shower, and a toilet. The shower area allows you to wash, using a water bag heated by the sun. You will need to bring your own bedchairs for sleeping. Lighting is available via a 12-volt system, for which you must bring your own battery.

Etang du Galet is surrounded by waters and is located along the Seine River. About 3 kilometers from the lake, you’ll find several French villages. Between 3 and 5 kilometers from the location, there are two large supermarkets for your groceries.

The accommodation is basically equipped with a kitchenette and a sofa. You will need to bring your own bedchairs. There is a shower and toilet available. Additionally, there is a light switch where you can connect a 12-volt battery to have light in the accommodation. There is no further furniture in the accommodation, as it primarily serves as a shelter. The grounds are fully fenced, providing you with plenty of privacy, which is also ideal if you are bringing pets.

1. Rules

You must report to the manager at the times below.
If you are delayed, please contact the owner by phone.

NOTE: The location is difficult to find! When you have arrived at the water with the owner.
Save your location in your navigation.

You may bring a rowing boat, but make sure it is completely dry from the previous fishing session (this prevents the spread of disease).

Bait boats may be used

Wet the landing net and unhooking mat before use. Keep the fish wet when photographing.

The fish must not be kept in a weight sling or storage bag.

The landing net and unhooking mat must be at least 100 cm in size.

Nylon main line must be at least 30/100 and maximum 38/100 and the last 30 centimeters must be provided with tubing.

No fixed lead systems or leaders, only free running systems or swivel leads allowed.

Use good strong hooks no larger than hook size 2 with micro barb and no smaller than hook size 6. No benthooks

Fishing rods must not be left unattended when the lines are in the water.

There are 3 rods allowed per angler.

2. General rules

Please respect the nature around you. Damaging trees and plants is strictly prohibited.

Persons who damage property may be held liable for this. Caught fish remains the property of the reserved location and must be treated with the utmost care NO KILL.

Stray animals should be left alone.

It is forbidden to make/have fire on the ground

For your needs, use the toilet, WC present. (to be on the safe side, bring your own toilet paper) After using it, you are kindly but urgently requested to leave everything clean.

Don't leave any litter behind, cigarette butts and old linen are also part of this, neatly everything in the garbage bag. Note that in France the garbage is sorted.

Minors are not allowed to fish without adult supervision.

No visitors are allowed, except for those who have been registered.

You may bring pets, but their feces must be cleaned up after them.

Barbecue on legs may be used. (waste must be put in garbage bags and cleaned up after the coals have cooled)

On all venues that Angling Escapes mediates, you are obliged to take First Aid with you and treat the carp with it.

The manager, the owner nor Angling Escapes are not liable for loss and/or theft of goods or accidents and/or physical injury. Neither the manager/owners of the water nor Angling Escapes can be held responsible for damage or loss of your belongings.

Important, make sure you have taken out travel and cancellation insurance.
If the above rules are not respected, the owner may force you to leave the site at any time without any refund of the travel sum.
