The Lakes at Pegasus Lakes – Carp Fishing in France
Pegasus Lakes consists of two stunning lakes designed specifically for carp anglers. Lake 1 covers 29.6 acres and is home to around 1,400 carp, while Lake 2 spans 32.1 acres and holds approximately 2,000 carp. Both lakes were created in 2007 and meticulously developed by the English owner, Pete Burke, who invested significant time and effort to create these premier carp fishing waters.
These lakes are free of unwanted species such as catfish, crayfish, or poisson-chat, providing an optimal environment for dedicated carp fishing.

Pegasus Lake 2 – Premium Carp Fishing
This 32.1-acre carp lake features spacious, well-designed swims and excellent facilities. The lakebed is varied, with areas of gravel, hard plates, and silt patches. With an average depth of 8–10 feet (2.5–3 meters), Pegasus Lake 2 offers ideal conditions for carp fishing, particularly during the warmer months.
There are 16 single swims, strategically positioned around the lake, accommodating up to 16 anglers. Parking is available directly behind each swim or at the central parking area. Small campervans are welcome, though caravans are not permitted.
As Pegasus Lake 2 was originally a gravel pit, boat fishing is highly recommended. The clear water and aquatic vegetation in summer can create variable depths and conditions, so using a bait boat or rowing boat significantly increases your chances of landing big carp.

Fish Stock – Big Carp Ready to Catch
The carp stock at Pegasus Lake 2 is impressive. In the winter of 2022, around 250 new carp were introduced, weighing between 18–30+ lbs (8–13.6 kg). The total stock now ranges from 1,200 to 1,300 carp.
Thanks to a structured feeding program, the carp are in excellent condition and growing steadily. With no unwanted species present, anglers can enjoy a pure carp fishing experience focused entirely on quality carp.
